One of the guys that Jared worked with in California has an apple juicing party every fall. Friends and family come to his house to make fresh apple juice from presses. He pays for everything. Such a neat and selfless family. It was a really fun experience and we walked away with 8 gallons of the yummiest juice.

Then you stick whole apples in an electric chopper. You can see this was Zina's favorite part. Elsie's favorite part was just eating the apples.

Here's me pressing some. I forgot to take a picture of the juice coming out and filling the gallons. Oops. It was so fun to do. There is something about making your own food from the earth that feeds the souls. I'd be inspired to get my own press for our tree, but we don't have anywhere to store it.
Maybe a should post a wanted ad for a detached garage on freecycle?

We got to do that with Jeremy's family! Grandpa S. has an apple press. We have one lone can of juice left and hope it's not fermented... (the head from the processed cider did seal it, but still)
