Why spend money on toys?

I run downstairs to check email because Z is playing with her toys, so she'll be occupied for five mintues. She was occupied all right, but not with any puzzle or book or block. I've seriously spent maybe $30 on toys during her whole almost 21 months. And this is why. She's much more entertained with the drawers in the kitchen. And my cell phone. (She's called my mission president, my grandmother's sister, and my sister to date. That I know of anyhow.) And the toilet. And daddy's shaving cream.... Good thing I rarely use wax paper.
